Utah River Options

Different seasons and conditions call for different options. Utah has these options in spades.

Different flows for different folks.

Our fishing season runs 365 days of the year here in Utah. Luckily for us we always have a river (or two) to fit the season. The diversity of our waterways are one of the things that makes Utah such a special trout fishery!

Middle Provo River

The Middle Provo River boasts both the highest fish numbers and the most access in the area. A short 15-20 minute drive from Park City, this river has provided many anglers with their first Utah trout brought to hand. The Provo has also tested many seasoned anglers with it’s picky fish and technical bug life. The Middle Provo is guide favorite, and a fantastic half day option!

Lower Provo River

A little further down the valley from Park City flows the lower section of the Provo River. It’s beautiful views, cold water, and ABUNDANT bug life make for big strong fish that will put a bend in to any angler’s fly rod. While well known for it’s Summer “float tube hatch”, the river also boasts year round insect hatches that our guides are veterans at imitating. We would love to help you tie into one of these strong fish!

The Weber River

A fun change of pace from the other rivers, the Weber river is home to above average sized brown trout. While there are fewer trout per mile in this river, every trout you hook has the possibility of being a memorable one. There is also a healthy population of Rocky Mountain Whitefish that love taking a well presented fly. There are two sections to this tailwater fishery, and both provide an exciting fishery just a short drive from Park City!

Remote Waters

Perhaps you consider yourself a seasoned angler, or maybe you are looking for a full day experience that gets you out to some of the lesser seen parts of the West. If you check either of these boxes, our Remote Waters trips are the experience for you. These lesser spoken of rivers often feature big, smart, picky fish for the angler willing to spend a day exploring them. These rivers are more “water flow dependent” than our local tailwaters, and often require a little more walking. Give us a call and see if this full day option is the adventure you’re looking for!
